Costa Rica Day 21: Goodbye Ostional

Had to wake up at 5am in the morning!!! Digna was already awake and was just lying on the couch with her blanket half asleep.

Had some corn flakes for breakkie before saying final goodbye. It was really quite sad when Digna was saying her last goodbye to us.. and I can't say "see you later" anymore. Even though 2 weeks isn't that long, it's definitely enough for someone to start adapting to. I started adapting to it about one week after and got used to the kampong style living conditions.

While I was on the bus, I saw the beach for one last time.. Honestly, I really thought it is a beautiful beach beneath the dead turtles and undeveloped eggs.

Off to San Jose!

We stopped by a soda place for breakfast and I'm glad that I'm able to get what I want now. Corn tortilla, cheese and eggs and black coffee :) hhaha the previous time I was just pointing at the food making guesses and saying sie (yep) to whatever they're saying lol.

Tapped abit of wifi before heading off again! When we got to the shared house bnb, we got abit of time to chill before our adventure tour orientation meeting.

Some of us walked down the street to a minimart. Omg don't know why but the houses with proper walls looked so damn pretty and big!! Hahah spent too much time in a kampong house liao.

Ok, I bought 2 bottles of beer (less than $2 each) and one bamboo mojito in can. Yumz yumz and I succumbed to haagen daaz again, but this time I only bought the stick of vanilla ice cream coated with almond choc. :p

Orientation meeting went on smoothly but honestly, having such a big group coming back together again is really hard for me to fit in. So I stuck with Sheila and spoke to her in mandarin thank goodness for her at least speaking mandarin is much more comfortable than focusing on understanding the accent/speaking in an accent which they can understand.

It wasn't such a good night because I feel really very uncomfortable with the huge group in their own groups. Even when sorting out roomies, I was the left over one trying to figure which group needs more people. So I went asking the groups and apparently all of them are already settled. Wth!! Ok lah but I wasn't alone. Sheila and Courtney were also looking around so we signed up for a triple room and one accommodation Sheila and I joined with the model couple (Matt & Emily) while Courtney joins another group of 3 girls. Matt and Em are really nice and cute and friendly but I thought it'll be kinda awkz cos Sheila and I will be the largest lightbulb ever. Courtney also poor thing lah. The 3 girls knew each other before this trip so it's super hard for her to patch in. Oh well... I honestly hated everyone for 2 hours (except for Sheila & Courtney) so I went back into my room while most people went out to atms or walk around.

I tried to take a nap but the walls are so thin it's hard. Stole the bathroom first before everyone wanna use it. Showered and packed for the white water rafting trip before dinz. We are going to this ulu lodge in the middle of the river where we will be doing our white water rafting activity. And we have to only pack a daypack for 3D2N there. And over there will have no network connection and no wifi at all :(

So at tonight's shared house bnb, the best part was the internet in the lounge. I couldn't take it anymore so I called Charles the moment he woke up lol. Singlish therapy!!!! Heheh.

Dinner was good. It's the usual beans and rice with salad and fresca. I'm starting to find rice and beans really comforting! And... It's also the safest option..

Some of them were really drunk, dancing around, running around stealing Brad's clothes and Brad running around finding his clothes. Ok and he ran to take my beer from the fridge for me. So the story is... I ended up drinking 3 of my drinks on my own while talking to Charles over the phone and watched the entertainment as they pounced in and out of the common area. We called ourselves sitting in the common area the #teamwifi.

Towards the later part of the night, the door was slammed so hard that the glass broke. How drama. But well, I am a dedicated #teamwifi member so I stayed there till about 1plus in the morning before going back to my room to sleep.

Not sure about the adventure tour because I obviously don't feel comfortable with this company.. That was also when I started thinking about my friends in Sg and Melbourne & my boyfriend in indo. That's where my heart is and belong..

You know how some people say you won't experience great things if you don't get out of your comfort zone? Well, I don't wanna get out because I make my greatest things happen in my comfort zone. And experiencing them in my most comfortable state is the most enjoyable.

I miss you guys my true friends!! See y'all very soon in 2 weeks' time.
