Tour to doka coffee estate.
Here's a disappointing fact. Most of the premium Costa Rica coffee beans are for export. The locals here like their coffee weak and light. Coffee beans sold in supermarkets may not be as great. Maybe those were the not-so-good ones left.
I went back home and smell the coffee pack haha. It smells so good though. Oh well, I shouldn't be too skeptical. It is more on the floral and fruity note. I saw her making coffee this morning. So it's drip coffee.
Some coffee plants and beans:

The baby plant.

Raw coffee beans with some sweet juice extract sticking on it in the red fruit.

Here's the red fruit and the bean is the seed of the fruit.

These are the premium good beans (determined by weight or density). Laid out on the ground like this to be dried.
Those ok-grade ones go through a machine for 26 hours for drying.

And here's a random butterfly from the butterfly garden.
Went back for dance class and Spanish class. I managed to order my lunch today at a soda in the market! It's something like in Thailand where those small food stalls didn't have a pictorial menu, and only had Thai words on a board. Used my broken Spanish and managed to get what I wanted. Hehehe. ok la, I didn't want the French fries but oh well...
He kept saying "papas"????
I was like "errrr... No Carnes (meat)??"
"Sie (yep). No no. Papas?"
So I can't do anything as long as I made sure there's no meat Hahah. I said yes to papas.
Damn those French fries.
I thought papas is potato!!!!! Roar. Why not mashed potato ?? :(
Anyway, after I ordered, SJ(Huiyu's lookalike) came over and wanted the same thing too. We dragged for damn long because nobody actually wanna go forward and find out what they're selling. Or rather, really hard to strike a conversation with the people there. We were alr late for class so hehe I'm quite happy that I learned a few useful words today. The worker taught me the word used for take away hahaha. Because instead of takeaway, I said something like "no eat here, eat *swings both my hands away* (idk how to say other places)".
Then another girl came over too and wanted the same thing lol. Sigh and she kept saying wanna takeaway the food and rushed us to quickly tell the person that we wanna pack our food instead. No matter how many times I told her I already settled that and made sure that it's takeaway, she still doesn't get it. Sianballz why she doesn't understand Singaporean accent :( I'm getting tired trying to mimic their accent, slowly revealing my real overflowing Singapore vibe. But anyway, she just kept saying and saying... Wts, then you friggin tell him yourself la.
I've been eating fish everyday cos that's what I know how to say haha haha.
Went back home for dinner and I was served some tuna pie pastry looking thing and sauce that tasted like the tomato sauce from the sardine can. Yumz. Of course, served with rice and salad and strawberry water today. :)
