The cup of warm milk and cereal is the most comforting supper I just had.
Easter party was alright, but to be honest, I don't like it. Without the girls there, it would have been bad.
Chris, my friend who sold me the tickets, just snatched the money from me. Then I have to join the super long queue which could have been more than 2 hours worth of waiting time. Thankful for Daniel and Parco, we cut the queue and joined them. And when I was trying to get refund for one ticket (because Huimin flew aeroplane last minute), I couldn't get Chris on the phone.
The best part of the night was a pass-out ticket (I think it's this term that they used???). Meaning that once I entered the club, there won't be any re-entry. So once I leave the club, I cannot go back in again. We decided to just go into the club and find Chris. Lucky me, I met him at the bar. But unlucky me, his eyes were rolling. It was a bad timing.
I was so affected by the long queue, expensive cloakroom (I paid $10 to deposit my sweater and outer coat because they charge by PER ITEM), the extra ticket we paid for, the diluted alcohol they served, and seeing a friend who is on the roll. Nothing felt good and enjoyable for the night.
Thank goodness for Jiahui who came along despite the late hours. And even risked not gaining entry because of the complicated entry system. She took Huimin's ticket and joined us for the rest of the night.
Left at about 4am and headed for supper. Maccas (McDonalds), KFC and Subway were available but the tables and seats were filled with leftover food because nobody bothered clearing up and I guess they were short of manpower to clear the rubbish. If you think the McDonalds at Clarke Quay after a clubbing night is messy, wait till you see the Maccas (nearing a club) here. It's worse than a roadside eatery in China.
Jiahui got her almost-daily supper menu of McNuggets and Evelyn satisfied her fried chicken craving that we realised that it was 5am in the morning. We walked to the front towards the taxi stand and woaaaaaaaa, the chilling wind... It was 10 degrees. I was prepared for the cold weather (with sweater & coat - NEVER SACRIFICE MYSELF FOR VANITY), but Venezia only had her long sleeve outerwear in chiffon material?!!?!? So I was also freezing as I lent her my coat.
You have the money to take cab also nobody wants to pick you up! The queue for taxi was soooooooooo long it's crazy. We sat at the casino lobby and waited for the tram. It was so cold while we were at the tram stop.
Back at about 7am. My tummy was bloated from the diluted drinks, but had this tight and pulled feeling. I guess I was really hungry. But the only supper I can get here is from my fridge. It's nothing new. Warm milk with muesli and cereal. While I was slurping barbarically, I thought... this is the best and most comforting food on earth.

Leftover bundy and mixer cola (from pre-drinks at my place) and the best supper. |
Speaking of toilets, it was really bad. Dirty and toiletpaper-less. For that, I really appreciate the toilets in Singapore clubs. There was a time while I was on my way back from work (near outram park) that I was so in need of the washroom, I alighted at Zouk and went to use the toilet at wine bar. That is the standard of the toilet there.
You can never get free entries here even if you are a female. Even if you pay for the cover, there won't be any complimentary drinks. It is never a sausage fest because they have this ratio rule. If you are a dude, you will need to bring a female with you to gain entry. No complimentary bag deposit (Zouk is really good at this). The people are into trance here, which means empty dancefloor for rnb.
I've been to 4 different clubs thus far. It has only been a month here hahaha! But I did not go the week I had a lot of work to clear. It was before school starts that I went twice, and once in week 1 and last night for Easter. And the more I club, the more I feel that it's so hard to enjoy it here, the more I crave for sourplum heineken and dreamer, the more I miss drinking at winebar with my friends who don't roll. I don't know... Probably after exploring a few more prominent clubs here in Melbourne, I will get so bored of the clubs here.
