Happy birthday to Tan Wee Liat, happy 20 years living on earth breathing. Thanks to the convenience of whatsapp, we managed to plan a (super) last minute birthday surprise.

Thank goodness for 24 hours mc cafe or else Wee Liat will have to blow candles stuck on Mcdee burgers. |

Stalkers in action. |
We wanted to pull the curtains at the opened window and give him a good surprise but it wasn't really a good idea if it was his parents near that window. Resorted to a lousy way - which is to give him a call and get him to open the gate for us. hahaha. But I guessed he was quite surprised so considered successful eh?

Group photo. Wee Liat you can print this photo and frame it up already say real one. |
Met the same people for brunch the next morning in school for Toast Box (yes, again.) !! It was an attempt to officially "celebrate" Wee Liat's birthday by offering him a treat. Don't say we are cheapskate please, Toastbox is considered atas and more expensive compared to traditional breakfast sets at coffeeshops/Makanplace so I think it's reasonable. Ahem.
(You can forget about the fact why we chose NP's Toastbox. It's not because it's a few cents cheaper in school... It's because Wee Liat had an appointment in the afternoon in school so it is natural to choose NP's branch due to its convenience.)
So... we just spent the entire morning eating, talking nonsense and embrace the environment. From an empty dining place, to a packed area during lunch time and back to the empty place again after lunch. We just sat and watched. Wee Liat and Amanda left for their afternoon appointment while I chatted with Ning until our greedy side emerged and we headed to Udders for our round 2. Love rotting my days off with great company. Nothing else but food and talks. Talk about anything everything under the sun, repeat what we had said before and with additional comments. Honestly, even if there's nothing, the accompaniment is enough. The existence, the presence, the fact that we meet up... that is already enough for me.
Sometimes, we just need to meet up. The question of, "Where and do what?" doesn't really matter. Meet up first then say. Because it will always end up a surprise and that we will find ourselves doing something we don't expect. Of course, on the other hand, it is good to have plans and look forward to executing the plan. ER HAHA... WELL, YOU GET WHAT I MEAN.

Round 2 Part 1 - Chocolaty Kit Kat & Earl Grey |
Prefer the Earl Grey at Salted Caramel. This had a weird after taste which is somewhat similar to detergent or perfume? It was probably too sweet for a tea flavour. Lacked refreshing element.
Ning's chocolaty kit kat was really sweet, so much sweeter than Earl Grey, but the sweet, chewy and sticky bits in the ice cream were quite addictive.

Round 2 Part 2!! |

OUR finished part 1 (aka black scoops) and PART 2 (aka white scoops) - LEMONELLO SORBET & MAO SHAN WANG. |
Lemonello sorbet was super duper refreshing and sour! Damn nice. A good choice if you wanna wash away the overly sweet and sticky after taste indulgence.
Mao Shan Wang = Real durians placed in the freezer. Need me to say more? It's called 王 for a reason.

Keeping memories - A symptom of growing old. |
It's Monday. It's my holiday free day. It's my brother's first free day after his ORD. It's my sister's school holiday. It's holiday everyday for my mom. It's a free evening for my father.
Which means... I can eat with my family. And my mom suggested eating out at Swee Choon. Awesome or what. I think I mentioned before that I absolutely love eating out with my family because we seldom do that. Yes, homecooked food is still my favourite but occasional eat-outs really make me feel blissful. We reached the place at 6 plus in the evening so we managed to get a seat easily.

Table full of food. |
Ok. I really love the 流沙包 there. The first time I ate was kind of dry and not very hot, but the one I had just now was piping hot, OOZING with egg york custard damn shiok!! A pity I didn't have the ability to order a bowl of handmade (on-the-spot) noodles for myself because I was damn full. Had a mouthful from my sister and it was really chewy and had this noodle fragrance. Comparable to Shanghai's noodles. So much food to choose from... They served real fast.
Monday is my favourite day of the week.
