Picking up my pace

On Thursday, I went to NYP for a netball friendly match. After 6 months of losing SRC and Netball, it was quite a challenge for me to get back into the mood for a team sports. There were some new faces and I saw that they can get along really well with the rest of the team. I was really happy to see most of the familiar faces, but honestly, even though I am quite cool with this, I was a little sad to know that my absence wasn't really much of a difference. It's just like when someone dear to us passed away, we cry, we mourn and we can't accept the fact. But as time goes by, life continues and his/her absence will not affect anyone's life at all.

The other day QQ asked me about my opinions on friends who will come in suddenly and say "I'll miss you" when they know that their friends are going to leave Singapore for another country. He asked if I would think that these friends are considered fake since they only appear during departures and don't even keep in contact for the rest of the time. Sad to say, it's probably that we can see things clearly during times of departures. For the rest of the time, I am blinded with self-activities and other much interesting stuffs like watching drama?

Back to netball. I was only put to play for a quarter and sure enough, I was quite lost and blur at times. Still sama sama as last time. Nevertheless, I really enjoy doing sports with a lot of other people. It's more enjoyable and "Today's exercise routine die also must lose xxx amt of calories", "I ate fried food today, so must run longer", "Must lose weight!!!!" won't occupy my mind all the time while exercising with a group of people with a different objective. So I am keeping myself with SRC despite my lousy skills and hopefully they won't kick me out while I still can run and pass the ball.

As for Song Composing Club, another thing which I held onto for a very long time before I left for Shanghai, I joined them for the annual camp yesterday. These crazy young kids nowadays... I was warmly(and probably awkwardly) welcomed by them because I was late and went into the LT in the midst of the camp chief's speaking. Heh. I like SCC because it's a place where I can listen to really beautiful new babies composed by people about my age. I have to say though, the characteristics of SCC (mainly the members) are super different from what it used to be when I first joined the CCA. Although majority of them love screamo songs (which I find it a little too hard for me to accept-I listen to Mozart-dances to ballet-and hahaha whatever it is), I like the music they make. Always so friendly and accepting and crazy.

Chong Yan Jing will keep the youthful spirit up up and up up up and more up up up up before she hits 20. Gosh so old already.

SO WHILE I AM STILL A TEENAGER, ...
