Costa Rica Day 27: Zip lining & baldi hot springs

Morning adrenaline was pumped with ziplining through the rainforest. But you know what, the rain really last warning. It rained the whole night and still didn't stop! So anyway, we went ahead with the zipline despite the rain. It'd make the zip line more slippery and yeah!!!!!! FASTER IT WILL BE!!

Firstly, we had to gear up and listen to the safety talk. Omg adventures are really fun, but why why why why why do the helmets and harnesses smell so darn bad???!!!! It's like a mixture of overdued moist and sweat and a bit of rotten eggs. There you go. We have to put that helmet on our heads and the harness near our vijayjay. Why smell so bad... And remember it was raining? Yea, plus the mud and rain.

We have 12 ziplines altogether, and a rapalling after the 6th zipline. It was such adrenaline because we rapalled beside a strong waterfall. There wasn't any rock walls for the first 30+m and 80m of rocks and the last 5m was a free fall cos the guy below had to keep the rope.

That was really good but it didn't take too long before I got drenched from the waterfall splashing water onto me.  Ok and there's this long ladder that falls vertically and flat on the rock wall. We have to climb up the ladder in order to get back up and continue with the zip lines. Lol I swear it looked intimidating but heh, I felt it was alright :p that ladder and even closer to the waterfall. Cray experience.

I think this is a really good activity. You can find ziplinung and rapalling almost everywhere, but great scenery and crew makes a whole lot of difference. I've done zipline and rapalling at a canyoning tour in NZ but I felt the guides were very pushy and rushing the group, which wasn't pleasant and the rapalling was bad.. we didn't get to control the rope and so that French guide was just releasing the rope quickly and I fell flat onto the rocks. Rude.

After the zip lining tour we were led to some indigenous village and had a tour of their woodcrafts and painting.  Got back to the main centre for pasta lunch and went back to collect laundry. wth my bag of laundry weighs 2.1kg lol clothes only leh. And it costs about $8 omg heart pain.

After zip lining, we went back to Arenal Country Inn (our accommodation) and prepare for Baldi hot springs!!! That place is posh and we did hot springs from 3.30pm-6.30pm hahaha. There were many different pools and people just wear their bathers around. Haha we don't have to go naked here. It's like a water park too with 3 slides in operation.

What's exciting next was the buffet dinner!!! But it didn't meet my expectation.

The route to the buffet dinner

MEH.

No seafood or fish at all. Dessert table looks pathetic. Choc fondue was mini and it ran out towards the end. The brownies were super good though. I had to stand there and wait and keep asking then this guy just brought 2 out for Emma and I haha cos we stood for too long at the dessert table. And the worst part is that I only have 1 hour to eat. That's super challenging for a buffet esp with my eating speed. I did it anyhow I ate so fast that I didn't digest too well for the rest of the night. Was really bloated even after shiatting. And the thing is that I couldn't really shiat in peace cos so many people are sharing one bathroom and I didn't wanna hog the bathroom for too long. Oh well.
