Just some photos

Last Friday before Alumbra, Evelyn and I stopped by at Brunetti just for some snacks. Greedy girls...

My bailey's Affogato ($7.60) and Evelyn's strawberry tart ($6.50) in the bg
In 5 mins.

Milo in cold milk. it's really good. just like mashed coco krunch.
And on Saturday, the guys and I went around the city area to look for dinner after spending the afternoon at DFO. I think the guys bought more stuffs than I do. Whoever said that shopaholic only refers to girls?!

Awesome crepes in the city area!! I got the salted caramel flavour! ($5) really quite ok pricing considering its location
We had some zichar food at a restaurant. The thing about Melbourne is that we have a lot of different varieties of food and most of the places are restaurants! Think roti prata in restaurant setting... Or maybe carrot cake in that atas ambience!

Went to explore some bars around the city and this place is hidden right at a dead end of a back alley. You really have to walk into the dark alley with graffiti walls, sharp corners and tons of garbage bins... Similar to a typical Jackie Chan movie where "police chase after the culprits" kind of scene and to stop the police, the culprits will usually push the garbage bins in the middle of the alley as obstacles. It was so dark and really can't go there alone!

The place adapts to the theme of "abandoned hospital". They serve special cocktail drinks in syringes, but that was sold out that night... :( Anyway, I order a cocktail and they took so long to make a drink. Each step was meticulously done and the bartender will dip the straw in and take it out to taste. After that, he added more rum into my drink. All I could say is that the effort is made and real alcohol was served. It was the strongest alcohol served so far compared to other clubs/pubs, where alcohol tasted diluted...

Went up the steep stairs and that was the "Hygiene Department" aka the washrooms. Check out what they have in there!
Croft Institute "Hygiene Department" - FEMALE TOILET

Creeps.
One level above the Hygiene department is another section with dancefloor. The place is like a rundown warehouse. It isn't very big, but so interesting to check out dodgy areas like this! I guess the locals here prefer this kinda "club" as compared to the glamour clubs with disco balls and chandeliers all around.

Hopped over to Joo Mak! It's a korean food bar which operates till 5am! We were supposed to come here first, but it was full. You have to make a reservation, otherwise, it's tough to get seats. Small and homely with wooden interior. Located at the basement through a small narrow glass door. Who would have known there is a food bar located there man!? I walked past there so many times but it's not visible AT ALL, even if you pay attention to it. It was the first time I've been to such a place which felt so close to Korea... And most people there were Asians hahaha..

Peach rice wine ($19) - taste like peach smoothie. SO DAMN GOOD. (and cute)

but i don't know why it changes colour after a while...

Pineapple soju yumz. ($19)

Sunday is a day to stock up my fridge, but of course I have to stock up my tummy before that!

Pedra filtered coffee ($4.50 from Market Lane) and Almond Croissant ($3.30) from one of the bakeries at Queen Victoria Market

QVM rocks!! All these for $1 !!

This much! I ate a bit already though. It was fully filled initially. So worth it!
On Tuesday, I went for lunch with my host leader, who is now my friend! As I skipped into 2nd year, I am taking one same subject as her. And I bumped into her quite often in school and sometimes at college square (her friend stays here) and sometimes lecture. We finally exchanged numbers and started hanging out.

Thai Food @ Middle Fish.
I had green curry ($15.50) which was so yummy!!! And the rice was quite comforting to be honest. I finished up most of it (including the rice). I think my appetite grew quite a lot... I usually finish my portions now... The first few weeks weren't like that.. I could pack half of the portion for my lunch the following day. Omg, so scary I think I'm a monster. My host leader, Ada, had the lunch special - ox tongue with spiced rice and egg. Really yummy. Gotta try their milk tea another time!

Some transformation I did to my room last night... If you follow me on instagram, you should have seen a photo where I lay all my washed clothes on the bed frame to dry. I have no place to hang my clothes!

Setting a "bridge" with tables and chairs bevause I'm too short.

AHMEE STYLE!!
It works!! but my room looks really unfeminine with all these hanging around. Maybe I will get some fake leaves and bushes to decorate the walls to make it look "oh so close to nature" or the foresty feel. But urgh, I can't be bothered. WANNA MOVE OUT TO SOMEWHERE CHEAPER.

20 days till my parents and sister (and most importantly, moolah!!!!!!!) are here! HEH. Oh ya, did I mention I joined the community choir as well? HAHAHA.
