update already!
had friendly match with commonwealth secondary school today @ BBSS.
and obviously, all of us need some brushing up for advancements..
go BBSS netballers! GO GO GO!!
had lunch with the gals after the match..
super full!!

ya anyway, last saturday i went there to find scores and audio CDs..
and guess what!! i saw one of my classmates there.
what a small world!!!
lol. that classmate is none other than jie rong.. (-.-")
the so-musically-inclined person.
surprisingly, i spent almost 3 hours searching for scores and CDs..
in my hands, i got hold of 4 books of piano scores and 5 classical cds.
to my horror, i found out that only PREMIUM library members can borrow premium items... which are the scores and cd!!
basic library member can only borrow books!(which i had NONE in my hands)haha!
AND TO MY 2ND HORROR, the fee for being a premium member for a year cost 21bucks!!!
MOREOVER, IM SO BROKE(ya, cos i ate mos burger with netballers after training @SRC)!!
luckily, i had my mama's cashcard with me.
initially, it is to pay for my overdue storybooks(which i didn't read @ all!!)
of course i had to join premium member lah!
if not i wasted 3 hours "happily" finding my stuffs in the library.
cannot be asking me to return all those things back lah!
so i joined!! my mama's cashcard had only a few cents left i think....
SORRY MAMA!!
but i'm so happy!!!

(that's what happens to a girl who went to library@esplande alone for the first time!)
and i almost stepped into the dance section... -.-
i admit that there are lots of wierdos who are so involved in arts... (WAHAHAHA!!)
but the cafe is cool! there is a performing stage..
which had a keyboard... (well, i couldn't see other instruments =.=)
well, you can say that im a fake musician!!
because out of the scores i borrowed, i only know how to play SATIE's GYMNOPEDIE!!
which is quite easy that it can be used for training sight reading!! HAHAH!!
(fyi, it's SATIE, NOT satay!! =p)

i cannot even hear what i'm playing on the piano when they are watching television!!

actually i set myself a deadline for my 2-pages prelude, but i don't think i can finish the prelude in time :(
I FEEL LIKE SMASHING THE TELEVISION LAH.
AND I HATE CORNER STAIRCASE LAH!!!!!
if only it isn't cornered, then the piano can be moved into my room.
only then, i can HEAR EXACTLY what im playing lah!!!

BUT IT IS LOADING AT A SNAIL CRAWLING SPEED. wth, couldn't even watch episode4, so i decided to blog while waiting..

FINALLY, Coach is back from US and she bought netties some choc cookies
(AWW TOO BAD FOR THOSE WHO MISSED TRAINING TODAY! COS IT'S REALLY DAMN NICE! 100% CANNOT GET IN SG)
haha, and i ate 2! (er-hem, geokting... i know u ate 3)
we ran around the track and did lots of drills + games in the 3 hour training session.
very fun.
played attacker during the game.
however i was demoralised by the way i played :(
i don't even know what i'm doing.
but anyway, i have been playing defender for 2 years already.. of course it's a little diffcult for me to change the runs.
(plus, attackers must dodge like siao. =X)
ok, jiayou netties!!
the netball court seems empty without the seniors..
i miss training with them. if only.......
if only they could come back and train with us....
but they are graduating already..

but i spend an extra $1 on the calender. >.<

honestly, i'm quite scared.
afraid that i can't teach well.
but will try my best.
as what belinda says:
music is for everyone. but it is not easy to afford learning it.
we are just the more fortunate people.
and that's why belinda don't like to charge teaching music too high a price.
she would even volunteer herself to teach music.
woah. what a spirit!!

wahaha. but my teacher says that to score in a mozzie piece is not as easy as a bartok piece.
hmm. but that seemed the most manageable piece(though it consists of 7 pages -.-)
because the haydn piece had more than 7 pages and lots and lots and lots of running notes.(or is it sprinting already?)
moreover, the set work for o level music next year will be HAYDN AND HIS SYMPHONY no.104!! how am i going to survive in haydn's world!!?
miss tan once said,"you gals will hate haydn next year. his symphony no.104 will be your daily lullaby!"
oh gosh. wish me luck >.<

Went Esplanade today with SMSS music class(except for Hui Xian & Jerry) for Elgar Anniversary: Pomp And Circumstance (SSO)!!

SCHUBERT Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major, D. 485
ELGAR Pomp and Circumstance March No. 4
MOZART Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K467
ELGAR Cockaigne, Op. 40
ANYWAY, the highlight og the concert was MOZART Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K467 because there was a guest performer, the pianist, Antti Siirala.
First up, Schubert Symphony!
after all the 4 movements were played, Phyllis was shooting lots of questions at me.
Phyllis: Hey Yan Jing. Tell me, which period?
Me: -.- Romantic lah.
Phyllis: haha. GIVE REASON.
Me: Cos it's Schubert. lol.
Phyllis: =.= EXCEPT FOR THIS!!!!

It's mine
anyway, i changed my blogskin into one of the templates in blogger because i cannot stand my old blogskin which is so ugly. -.- because i'm the creator! Hahaha..
if there's time, i'll try to make another ugly one to hurt everyone's eyes. =p
Today was both a sad and happy day for me.
Sad first. (sorry ah.. i'm going to complain about music again.. =x )
Last week, when we got back our report books, i realised that my music results printed was wrong!! it's printed 43 when it is suppose to be 44. so i went to ask Mr Cha to change it for me this monday(29/10). He kept telling me that there'll not be any difference even if the one mark is added. Which is 110% discouraging.
The in-charge of the report system changed my marks quite unwillingly.
to my horror, when i got back my "newly updated" report slip on wednesday, i was shocked to find that the person only changed the music results.
AND NOT THE OVERALL RESULTS.
erm for example:
Before
EL: 100
CL: 100
MUSIC: 98
Total: 298
After
EL: 100
CL: 100
MUSIC: 99---> added one mark
Total: 298 ---> still the same!!
crap. then you might as well don't do anything to it.
so i went to ask Mr Cha today.
HE TOLD ME THERE'LL BE NO DIFFERENCE AGAIN!!
i really hate it!
I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO CHANGE MY RESULTS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

i took it up because it is interesting and i really learn a lot.

Certificate does not mean everything. don't look nice? let it be.
It is the content and the history of music i learnt that matters.
IF I DROP MUSIC FOR A BEAUTIFUL CERTIFICATE, I WILL LOSE THE KNOWLEDGE I KNOW ABOUT MUSIC AND EVEN MORE TO COME NEXT YEAR.
AND I BELIEVE THAT THE KNOWLEDGE I ABSORBED DURING MUSIC LESSONS ARE WAY MORE IMPORTANT THAN HAVING A BEAUTIFUL CERTIFICATE.
I'M NOT GOING TO ASK YOU TO CHANGE MY RESULTS ANYMORE.
THAT 0.1% IN MY OVERALL DIFFERENCE MIGHT MEAN NOTHING TO YOU, BUT THAT 0.1% CONTAINS THE ENCOURAGEMENTS AND MOTIVATIONS FOR ME TO WORK HARDER.
& THIS, I BELIEVE YOU'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND.
since the school does not want to change for me,
I WILL CHANGE IT MYSELF. (er. in pencil of course.)
I WILL NEVER DROP MUSIC UNLESS MISS TANG ASK ME TO DROP PERSONALLY.
BECAUSE I BELIEVE MUSIC LOVERS WILL UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL.
SO I CHOOSE TO BELIEVE THEM. IF MISS TANG WANTS ME TO DROP MUSIC AS MY O LEVEL SUBJECT, I WILL IMMEDIATELY GIVE IT UP WITH HESITATION.

So, i decided to earn my own $ (need some time though)
I asked Ning whether she wanted me to teach her piano randomly.
i did not expect her to agree!! wahaha. she even agreed to pay me as her piano teacher!! WHOOOO-HOOOO!!! i charge cheap cheap one ok.. because i'm not certified and im still preparing for my grade8. haven't pass grade8 yet.
This one can earn... :)

Today was both a sad and happy day for me.
Sad first. (sorry ah.. i'm going to complain about music again.. =x )
Last week, when we got back our report books, i realised that my music results printed was wrong!! it's printed 43 when it is suppose to be 44. so i went to ask Mr Cha to change it for me this monday(29/10). He kept telling me that there'll not be any difference even if the one mark is added. Which is 110% discouraging.
The in-charge of the report system changed my marks quite unwillingly.
to my horror, when i got back my "newly updated" report slip on wednesday, i was shocked to find that the person only changed the music results.
AND NOT THE OVERALL RESULTS.
erm for example:
Before
EL: 100
CL: 100
MUSIC: 98
Total: 298
After
EL: 100
CL: 100
MUSIC: 99---> added one mark
Total: 298 ---> still the same!!
crap. then you might as well don't do anything to it.
