After almost 15 hours, I'm in the US omg! The plane flew north-east from Melbourne! The world is indeed round. Please excuse my bimbo moment, but say real, I felt such a pity that I'm only walking around the airport. Everyone speaks with an accent I'm so jealous.
Anyway, the Americans use different units for everything, from temperature to liquid volumes... I'm so clueless about the cold weather I was just in fbts. I'm really don't know how much 3 ounces of liquid allowance is... Gulping down my water before the screening customs wasn't too glam.
But you know what? The security asked me what kind of sports I play!!! Omg. He said I looked really athletic!!!! So happy. In the past when I exercised almost everyday, people questioned me of my "exercise". Now with my lazy ass, two people (good enough. First, Karina. And now the security) can tell I actually exercise!! Katrina asked me what other sports do I do because she saw that my legs look muscular. Oh well, I'm well aware that there's a big difference between humongous legs and muscular legs. let's just leave it there ok.
United airlines doesn't feed the their passengers well. Partly because I couldn't eat the snack - ham and cheese sandwich. I did request for vegetarian but I guessed the travel agency did it late and didn't go through eventually. I had to rush through my breakfast also because they were gonna land. Sian.
Also experienced the longest and scariest turbulence in my entire life. To be honest, I was soooo damn scared it lasted for more than 5 mins and it just gets stronger and stronger. It was till the extent that the flight attendant had to stop pouring drinks and held onto their trolley for support. one of them even had to sit on a passenger's arm rest. Crazy shit. Those passengers who got their drinks had spills all over, helplessly.
In Houston was even better.. The guy who checks your boarding pass after the scanning thingy had a casual chat with me. He looked so shocked seeing me in shorts (fbt). Because it's winter in the States now, he looked so worried, "Aren't you cold wearing shorts?!"
I don't know how the conversation started but we talked about summer in Australia, super long flight, being unemployed, going to Costa Rica, first time in the States but no chance to go out and have a look.
His expression was as if he found a only virgin left in this world when I told him it's my first time in the States. And he repeatedly invite me to come back next time for sightseeing. Yes leh, the atmosphere here is quite different and I'm kinda liking it. But this is only in the airport and I just reached here only. Can't say anything first.
Having a lone lunch at a diner lol like in the movies but instead of burger, I ordered tuna meltz. Yes I ate half of the French fries it's the side... Food wise, it's not too vege friendly.
Ok now I'm gonna go walk to meet one of the girls who flew from Sydney. Till I get the next weeefeee spot. :D
