Just like how I didn't plan to come to Melbourne, some opportunities will just appear and lead me on to the next chapter of my life right?
Sometimes when I see really nice people and heartwarming scenes (like how a punkster pulled the stop line and stopped the tram in time for an ungrateful Chinese woman, who was chasing behind the tram) in Melbourne, or when I drank a super comfortable cup of coffee, or when I feel valued as a netball player - only in Melbourne that my play was described as a gun.. My team mates in Singapore are either machine guns or sniper. Either fast or accurate. Or when I shop at the market or Coles... Or when I can earn $27 per hour... or when I can pig out with my new found love for burgers and pizzas without having to feel like a fat piece of shit... Times like this... I really hope to extend my stay in Melbourne.
And at other times, or in fact, recently, when I listen to Ning on-air, when I feel more of Singapore-like weather, when I looked at photos of my SG friends on Facebook, when Instagram was filled with local hawker food fares (hell can someone complain about SGD$3.50 lemon chicken rice omg unbelievable), when I eat home cooked food (never successful in exact replicates), when I curse and swear while doing laundry, when my family send me photos of them eating out together happily, when I have to wait 20 minutes for missing a tram, when I eat over-priced roti prata, and most importantly... when I am running low in moolah... Times like this, I wanna be back in my sunny island!!
Can I have the best of both worlds?
& I want my mummy :'(
