Indoor cardio workout from twitter

If it is too late at night and it's dangerous to go outdoors for a run, try this at home! You need nothing except your sports attire, determination, stopwatch, and a space.

I went to the gym with my room mate on Friday determined to run a good 5km for a TGIF fitness Friday. But oh well, it sucks to see a girl hogging onto the one and only pathetic treadmill walking slower than my grandmother. She could have walked elsewhere right?

Thanks to her, I tried this "Indoor Cardio Crusher" I found on twitter a while ago. It looked pretty simple. The first set focused on my legs and thought it was easy since those exercises were similar to Christina's netball physical training. And resting time was long! I would suggest you to take full advantage of the 60 seconds rest time. I was tempted to cut down the rest time because I really didn't feel the burn. Luckily I did not, because...

The second set of "1-minute intervals" burned me out. I can really feel my quads heating up and the sore was burning when I was doing the last rep "squat jumps side to side".

The ultimate burn was the jumping lunges. There are 2 sets of jumping lunges at the end but I modified the last set to "alternate lunges on the spot" because I really cannot jump anymore. If I jump, I cannot go all the way down to do a proper lunge.

It was really intense and it is recommended to change some of the exercises to suit your fitness level. I thought I was quite fit until I saw the last line below...

It says, "go through 1, 2 or 3 times. Or repeat each section 2x before moving onto the next section".

O.M.G.

I was already sweating more than that treadmill hogger only after running through once. It was crazy so I didn't do a second run through. But I guess it's not too bad considering that this was my first attempt?
