I didn't have classes on Friday so we went for super advanced pre-drink at Asian Beer Cafe. Thursday night was ladies' night and we can get champagne for $1. The pizza is only $4, which was cheap in the area. That's about the price of a frozen pizza.
Last night, we made an effort to be there early. The clubs here start and end early. Doors open at 9.30pm! Previously when we went to Alumbra, we reached at 2am and the club closed at 3am... We struggled with the time, but still managed to reach before 11pm, just the right time before it becomes too crowded.
While Evelyn and I was queueing for the cloakroom (bag deposit - it's also $5 for each item at Alumbra - lucky you zoukers free bag deposit urgh!), we saw a guy with blond hair coming in! It was Dj Ghetto! That's how we got a photo with him. Yay, in the mix yo.
He spinned from 12am to 2am. In that 2 hours, we girls totally hogged the front row and grooved nonstop to the music. We (maybe just Evelyn and I) were sweating like crazy. Initially, we wanted to get drinks but we knew that we did not have time to move to the bar and we don't need any to put our hands up. It was good to hear some familiar mix. To be honest, I don't feel like I was back in sg or zouk. Something was missing, or rather, everything else was missing. But I am very contented and lucky that he came over at the right time.
At least there was a connection to every of my friends and family members back in sg because of the club. Too much memories and great times with my friends. See, experience and grow (to become an alcoholic?).
Got back to college square for supper (too poor to eat at China Bar this time round). Jiahui cooked some indomee with egg and came over to my room for supper with some chocolate milk. We discussed Chopin and some classical music and talked nonsense till about 7am (I KNOW IT'S CRAZY) before she realised it's too "early" and had to go back to her own room.
There are no more club events to look forward to anymore. I still think clubbing in sg is the best. Maybe I'm a little biased because I love that country. I love my home.
