The gym at college square is really small with limited facilities. One treadmill, one elliptical, one bicycle, one pull up pole and leg raise thingy, one rowing machine and a 4-in-1 heavy weights station (lat pull-up, leg press, chest press, and bicep/tricep curls) and one sit up bench. basically, one of everything.
It is more than sufficient for me. Only thing to complain about is probably they didn't have any free weight at all. A macho guy brought his own round weights to the gym hahaha! And at peak hours, I don't usually get to use the treadmill and wouldn't dare to do weights.
The good thing about this mini gym is that as long as there are other users around, I'm always pressured to run faster and further. Guys are really hardworking and vain and obsessive when it comes to gymming.
And the good thing about an empty gym is that I can do all the weights and not get any judgmental stares.
I walked past the school gym (have to pay for membership $270 for 4 months) and it is so well-equipped with all sorts of machines.... And.... Juicy muscles... Hahaha. But it's the usual sausage fest and some hardcore female caucasian fitness gurus. The Asians usually just do yoga and group fitness activities. Stereotype at its best.
I've been forced to exercise quite often because I'm very greedy and I'm very lazy to wash my sports attire again and again. I usually utilize it by going to the gym after netball or karate when I'm already in my sportswear.
A few days ago, there were signs of splitting abs but it was gone by evening. Seriously high maintenance there. But it was good to have that crunch and ache for the first part of the day. Hope to see them again soon :(
