I think... we have to admit that we're getting older..
Got complimentary tickets from yes933 to watch Remy Martins Centaur Dance Finals. The dances were not really a wow factor considering this is a regional competition. I voted for the Msia team eventually as I thought it was very entertaining to incorporate dance moves with a story line. All the other dancers are really good and talented, just feel that the show is not presented well enough as a team.
But the main point is none of the above. It's JOLIN's special guest performance. She was one of the judges but spoke Mandarin when she was asked about comments/feedbacks on the competing groups. The show was held in English and the Emcee understood none. Really tough to be a superstar man!
Although her language caused some laughters here and there, nobody can deny her stage presence and performing talents. She heated up the atmosphere when she sang 倒带 and followed by 舞娘 immediately. I LOVE HOW WU NIANG SOUNDS A BIT INDIAN-ISH.
The organisers were quite smart to put her appearance towards the end. Most of us left when her segment ended. Fiona was super hungry so we left after I watched Jolin. Thankful that she was okay and waited with me. Anyway, I think she enjoyed herself because she knew most of the old songs.
Walked back to Marina Square but most shops were closed already!! It felt like the same old routine... Headed to Xin Wang HK Cafe which operates till 4am... She had her dinner and we walked to MINK. It was such coincidence. Before Fiona flew to Sydney last year in June, the both of us met for MINK and that day I was the one who was having dinner at HK cafe before both of us walked to MINK. History repeating itself... Quite interesting. Except that this time round, we didn't hop over to Zouk. Partly because it was too late... Another reason was due to this old woman Fiona. She told me she was tired and when we ran out of drinks, she wanted to leave for home. Whatever happened to the energetic clubber girl?!
It was raining the entire night. We took a cab back. The cab fare was slightly more expensive now because the old woman moved to Clementi WHY. I thought I would be on a high intensity clubbing mode in December right after I drop all my commitments and with Fiona coming back to SG for holidays... But this was Fiona's and my FIRST proper clubbing together ever since her return from Sydney. And it wasn't all out. I guess... we all grow up, or rather, grow old and tired.
