Finally, I got the chance to join my family and relatives to Malaysia!
At 6AM (!!) last Saturday, the bus picked us up at Bukit Panjang. I am an early bird no more. And I went to Zouk with Ning and JY the night before. Alcohol, dancing and not sleeping aren't helping much. Got home straight after the club closed to wash up and got ready to go out again.
It wasn't that bad because I managed to sleep soundly all the way, only to wake up at some checkpoints for toilet/mealtime breaks. The bus was quite comfortable!
DAY1
I know I was really tired because I have no appetite to eat at all. Can you believe it. I skipped Magnum without having any mental war.
But, I know I'm recovering well when I started to crave for food when we reached Genting's Coach Bay.
We were staying at Hotel resort. It is quite a distance from First World, but the rooms over there were bigger and "cleaner" I think. I spent the first day slacking and eating Milo McFlurry. In the evening, we took a bus downhill to have dinner at the Mushroom farm. It is just the usual zi char kind. Food tasted so-so but my father told me it is cheaper to dine in there rather than in the shopping malls.
We went back to First World and I went to shop around. In the end, I accompanied my sister to watch a movie. It was some dog show and I'm sorry I slept through the first 30 minutes (or so?) of the movie. I was really worn out and the movie wasn't really grabbing my attention.
DAY2
Woke up in the morning and wanted to grab some yummy breakfast at Old Town. My cousins and my sister went ahead to the outdoor theme park first because that's their priority. My priority is to eat breakfast. So I went for breakfast on my own! I think that's the difference between youngsters and ... hmmm.. growing to be adult. Sadly, Old Town was disappointing! The place is very small and I can't get any single seat. The kaya toast were not crisp at all. I wouldn't mind if the bread is soft. But the texture is somehow in the middle. Toasted a lil but not too soft. Disgusting. But the eggs were better than the ones I had at JB! Silky and runny. Slurrrppsss!
Afterwards, I went for a few rounds of exciting roller coaster rides. The seats for roller coasters are usually in pairs, but I played the park alone so I always ended up sitting alone and the other people will stare at me. It is quite funny but I totally enjoy the experience of having the FIRST ROW of the roller coaster seats all to myself!!
Bumped into my sister and cousins at the park and we queued repeatedly for that few exciting rides in the park.
In the afternoon, I was already damn hungry but the kids were full of energy. I only managed to eat my lunch at 5pm when we met my mom outside the casino and she brought us to a cafeteria. So sad when I'm hungry.
The adults had a few complimentary buffet tickets and so... had international buffet for dinner!! Yay love to be with the adults instead hahahha. But... the dinner started at about 7pm when I was still full from my lunch. Nevertheless, I ate likka boss and managed to try out most of the meatless stuffs. I even had toasted kaya buns and kopi after the main course items.
OH THE KOPI!!! I SWEAR IT'S DAMN FRAGRANT AND NOT SWEET THAT DISGUSTING KIND OF SWEET!!! Well, I think I haven't tasted any kopi in Malaysia that's bad. I love Msia's coffee!!!
After that, the adults went to the casino and the kids played the indoor park. I didn't buy tickets for the indoor park because the rides all seemed so slow and boring... So I had nothing to do. I simply walked around First World and shopped. Thanks to the exchange rate, most stuffs there were cheaper as compared to SG.
Sent my sister back to the hotel and tried Viber with hkm at the lobby for the very first time! More to come in the future. Hopefully the connection works well from Melbourne. Washed up and prayed hard that my sister quickly fall asleep. That timid girl dare not stay in the hotel room alone so I had to accompany her.
When I walked out of the bathroom and saw her lying on the bed like a corpse, I jumped up all the way to touch the clouds! YAY. Quickly changed and went out for more walking. Partly because I was quite hungry so I thought of getting some supper!
I was at the 6th storey's lobby waiting for the lift. Then I heard snores. Wth, I thought to myself. Don't let me be so lucky and see dirty things can? It's was about 3.30AM in the morning somemore... I turned and saw a little boy sleeping behind the door!!!! He didn't have shoes on. Just socks. I wanted to wake him up and asked why is he sleeping behind the door, but I was afraid that he might be some wandering/vengeful kiddo spirits trying to get attention.
I was thinking that he might say I tried to hurt him or wanted to kidnap him if I were to touch him and wake him up. I even imagined him to scream super loudly after waking him up. In the end, I did none of it. Hahahhaa coward me.
Went to inform the receptionist and she gave me this "who are you trying to scare man? wtf!" but she smiled and said the security will be up to check soon. Actress 101.
I waited at the lobby and only after 30-40minutes, the receptionist brought the boy down. Ok, so the boy is not my imagination and everybody can see him. Good enough.
Need to calm my nerves so I decided to grab Starbucks again!! There's Old Town right below the hotel I'm residing in but I chose to walk a bit to First World to get Starbucks muahahhaa..
LIFE IS GOOD but the wireless access was down that night at Starbucks :(
My mom finally called me at about 4plus going 5AM. Met up with my parents and walked back to the hotel together.
DAY3
Had Phad Thai at the food court beside the bowling alley and IT WAS SO DAMN FREAKING GOOD. I don't usually have the appetite to eat noodles/kway tiao/rice for breakfast but I finished the entire plate of Phad Thai spammed with lime! Yummmmmm
OK AND SLEEP ALL THE WAY BACK TO SINGAPORE
So now I need to shed some weight sian.
