First time to PH

My first ladies' night after the end of my internship was not at Zouk. I didn't expect that either. My colleagues' clubbing home ground is at Power House instead. It took more than 20 mins for 963 to arrive at the bus-stop. The long wait totally dampened my clubbing mood, especially when the destination is not zouk.

It got slightly better when I met up with my colleagues. But actually, I only worked with 2 of them from such a large group. Only managed to know the rest of the people through the company retreat to Bintan earlier this year in March. (How time flies!)

The place is really big! Music was comparable to my favourite place, but I just find it annoying that the DJ likes to speak/sing/rap into the microphone in the attempt to make it sound more happening. I didn't really pay attention to the crowd since I was already with such a big group of people, but I kind of like the formation and syncronised dance moves at the podium and also on the second level. They were holding lights in their hands so the syncronised moves made it seemed like a performance. Not too bad! Very mambo-ish.

We had 19 complimentary drink coupons not redeemed at all because there was a dragon queue. Doesn't make sense at all. One bar and only 2 bartenders to serve customers with coupons? I can just spend my entire night on queueing. What's the point!!

So we gave up and headed to Neverland II (heard that it replaced Dragonfly) to finish up another bottle which they kept from the previous time. It's a Thai club, but a really peaceful one. There weren't many people. Stoned, drank, watch the performance, and watch the other people throwing money away. Ok lah, but I agree it is easier to let loose of my fist and spend on alcohol. This is coming from a stingy person so it must be true to some extent unless I am a closet alcoholic. Hehehe.

It's been a while since I went clubbing with such a large group.
