Ok so I was rolling on my bed at 5.30am and I got up at about 8am. Gorged myself with lots of food because I was so stressed up and tired. Tuna meltz sandwich, Ipoh white coffee, and 2 large cookies Amanda and JY baked for me. Studied a bit before bathing and went to my teacher's place.
Time is ticking...
I sat outside the room at the dining table with the rest of the candidates taking singing examination. After Mr Ng brought the examiner out for lunch, I went into the room and started practicing. Things weren't too well. I was really afraid.
Time flies...
And they were back from lunch. I was the last candidate because I am the only one doing piano diploma. The others were doing graded vocals.
I was there since 12noon and waited till 3.25pm before it's my turn. At 3pm, their maid offered to make some snacks for me because it was already past lunchtime. I thought it was quite rude to turn her down so I ate one curry puff and drank a cup of milo. It has been years since I last ate a curry puff!!!! IT WAS SO DAMN OILY AND CRISP AND HEAVENLY GOOD. DAMN!! Why all the oily and unhealthy food taste so awesome?! Heck my weight, just let me grow fat lah.
It was finally my turn... I went in really nervous so I did really badly for technical work and the first piece of music - Bach's Prelude and Fugue in Aflat major. (So not gonna touch that piece even again. Been playing that for 4 years lol!)
The remaining 3 pieces got better I guess after I calmed myself down and adapt to the environment in the studio. Tip: Act one musical by body language. Move your body with the music, shake your head a bit when it calls for some expressions, squint your eyes a bit when the music sounds a little sad, or even "buttjump" (jump up a little with butt SLIGHTLY TAKE NOTE IT'S ONLY SLIGHTLY away from the bench) so that it won't be too exaggerating and it would be more natural!
Viva voce, the section which I feared the most turned out to be quite okay even though the examiner kept rebuking my points. Well, I did get some facts wrong, but I think it was better than what I expected because I really did not prepare well for this section.
I left the room, feeling very dejected because I made quite some mistakes in my very first piece of music. It was so terrible.
Nevertheless, I got a call from Mr Ng at night. The examiner told him that EVERYONE PASSED!
I just have to pray hard that there won't be any more changes. But, I still feel a little worried because we still can't lay our eyes on the mark sheet.
