Youth campaign

"Auntie, 'scuse me," some boy working at Fairprice asked me to give way to him as he was moving some stocks around. Ok, the main point here is the first word, "AUNTIE". I should be used to it already since it's not the first time I've been called an Auntie.

Other than Auntie, I've been called M'am, Madam and so on...

The question is, "HELLO!!! DO I REALLY LOOK THAT OLD?"

The funny thing is also how some people commented that I looked less than my age. So what is it now? Am I really some chao lao person?!

At first, I thought it was the attitude problem. Since my face is always $_$, I love promotions, sales, free gifts and all, I behaved quite like a typical Singaporean auntie. It was only until yesterday when I was shopping at Fairprice and this boy called me an Auntie then I realised I do looked like one.

The only assumption I can make to throw myself into self-denial is that this young, immature boy assumed that every female in Fairprice is an auntie.

Fine, I dressed like one and behaved like one. I thought I was quite cool because nobody in my age group knows what items are on offer in which supermarkets(I got all those info from my mom though. So I am not the real auntie). After a while, I came to my senses.

I am only 18 years old and already acting like an auntie, as if I'm a married women, learning how to be a good wife when in fact, I don't even have a boyfriend to start with. This is worse than a 黄脸婆.

Basically, I want to be a youth again. Enough of this self-assumption that I am very independent that I can go out alone, eat alone, watch movies alone etc. I CANNOT BE SO ANTI-GOING-OUT-WITH-FRIENDS ANYMORE. I was not like this previously. I need to be hanging around with friends more often, need to cut down on my working hours and to really get a youthful life.

I've always wanted to do New Year resolutions and always quite lazy to do it. I'm going to do it now! Hehe.

  • Lead a youthful life
  • Stop doing things alone
  • 45KG !
  • Stop being so obsessed about my body and fats
  • Eat normal meals
  • Fine-tune back to the healthy digestive system

Basically, it's the youth I'm looking for now. Eighteen only, it's like the peak of my youth!!! Yet I lost it. I was trying to find my youth and I think the best place is friendster.com!!! It really reflects youth not only in myself, but also in many of my friends who went through the young youth crazy phase!

Go back to friendster and check out your friends' photos! Some are quite entertaining. hehe.
