WHATEVER THE TRANSPORT FARE!

Ever since the JC students started school, I had been putting coins(55cents) to save money. But maybe SMRT/SBS transit found out that there're cheaters like me, they have been sending lots of workers to check on the passengers' ez-link cards/tickets.

I saw 2 in 3days. How unlucky can I get.

The first- was on my way to training with JX on 960. The person board the bus and started checking. Luckily JX and I was sitting at the back. Then, the person started scolding one of the passenger who paid the wrong fare. Being scared of being caught(both JX and I), we alighted at Bugis bus-stop and WALKED to SRC.

The second- was on my way home from training on 171. And I tell you, I had never in my entire life seen the person boarding 171 and check on us!!!! I had proof that bus 171 is the bus which I take most frequently after much collection of the bus tickets. When the person board 171, omg, I'm still at Bukit Timah(around St Marg's) so I can't possibly alight there. Plus the fact that I had 2 other netball friends with me. Of which one is a JC student and the other future NP student tapped her ez-link, paying the adult fare.

So I got caught by the woman, irritating woman. But since she didn't fine me, she's not that irritating. In the end, she confiscated my ticket and charged my ez-link the adult fare. So in the end, I ended up paying the impressively high adult fare and an extra 55cents(omg, it's not!!! I paid 60cents!!!!! SHIT.)


Ok, whatever it is. This has made me more determined to persuade my parents(more to my mother) to allow me to cycle to school!!
It's so stupid. I don't want to pay adult fare because I am not an adult even though I'm in poly. Of course because they said poly is a tertiary institution and blah blah blah....

But THE FACT THAT WE POLY STUDENTS ARE ALREADY PAYING MORE ON OUR SCHOOL FEES, WHY THE FREAKING HELL DO WE ALSO HAVE TO PAY A HELL LOAD MORE FOR OUR TRANSPORT FARES.

No matter what I'm complaining here is not going to make things any better, because this kind of complain is going on for so many years already. Even if the bus companies want to look into this matter, IT'S ALSO USELESS. They're always so slow in action. Even if they really did, I would have already graduated. It's just stupid.

Also, this made me more determined to drive my own private car(or my parents' if I'm very poor) when I reach 18. I am going to take my test dates on my 18th birthday. That's how desperately I want to drive.

Even if more money is feeding into owning a car, EVERYTHING IS WORTH IT BECAUSE BUS IS SUPER TIME-COMSUMING which I always hated. And, I CANNOT REALLY STAND THE SIGHT OF SO MANY PRIVATE CARS OVERTAKING THE BUS I'M ON. buses are always so slow.

AND THE LAST THING ON LIST IS TO BE SO LUCKY TO BOARD ON A BUS WHICH TRAVELS 10KM/H. THOSE DRIVERS SHOULD REALLY GO AND DIE, if not just bang the wall.


Another thing which I'm unhappy with the transportation in SG is that they close their bus services very early. You'll find it very hard to get home after a late-night movie, or a long day out with your friends when the clock turns 12. Although NR is available, the destinations are very very limited.

So, call SG a vibrant city? with vibrant night life we have here? Seriously, if the people who can afford to enjoy this night life only refers to people who own cars, SG is just any other boring and mundane city. Majority of the shopping malls and shops closes before 11. *yawns*


If, the government wants to promote a green SG and to keep our air fresh, and encourage us to take public transport, then I hope to see a change in the transport fare, which I doubt I would.

One day, young people like me who doesn't want to pay for that something extra would end up driving our own cars individually. Then, the number of private cars multiply like siao.

I WOULD RATHER GET TRAPPED IN A TRAFFIC JAM IN MY OWN PRIVATE CAR THAN BUMPING MY WAY ON A BUS @ THE BUS LANE!

because when I'm in a car, at least I can listen to the radio and sing like some mini concert inside at my own confort zone.

stupid public transports, I hate them. Also including cabs! :@
