headache

finally, i finished watching all the uploaded episodes of X-Family. a few more to episode 50. gonna end soon.. :(
i chiong-ed like crazy.

the reason why i had a headache! facing the monitor whole day (except for going to toilets and eating) is super tiring. i watched tv at night yesterday until very late. lack of sleep. i'm not those superman who'll be able to sleep until 3pm in the afternoon. (that's what my bro does)

so i'm very tired and my head hurts like shit.
therefore i went to sleep before going for tuition.

i can faint anytime while walking. cos my head is cracking!!
anyway, i saw JiaQi at the bus stop outside my house. my chinese dance junior. :)

after going out, my headache went away :)
maybe should go out more often. if not, i will face the monitor for the entire day and most probably will faint..

other than going for tuition, i've been staying at home. :(
我不要变成宅女啊~！！

ANYWAY......... i'm gonna announce the good news i mentioned earlier. that good news that made me cry(not really cry lah, just tears rolling down..) haha.


I GOT BACK MY PIANO PRACTICAL RESULTS!! WHOOOO-HOOO!!

i wanna thank Jay Chou for shooting "Secret" and also, the movie company(whatever it is) for showing the film before my piano exam! :) if not, i'll never be motivated to practice.

i wanna thank my piano teacher(winnie tan) for teaching me! i love the way you teach. because sometimes you very humorous.
there's one time i played the piano so badly that she asked me to knock my head against the toilet bowl. the next wk i went for lesson, she told me that her toilet bowl spoiled. 真是邪门~
since then, she'll tell me to knock the toilet bowl in my house whenever i played the piano badly.
HAHA! (ok lah, not funny i know)

i wanna thank all my friends who encouraged me all the way!!
yes, i always have NO confident AT ALL. i always think that i'll fail.

i am happy because i really didn't expect to pass this exam. because i FAILED the mock exam that my piano teacher conducted just before the day of my exam.

sorry i get so excited and overjoyed about this.
some pianist might look down on me because they can get distinction easily.
but because i'm a noob who never get a merit in my life before(out of the 7 exams).
i always pass all below 113. 113 is my highest grade. so noob right..


so i cant believe that i got a merit! that's why im so excited about this.

okok, i can't wait to share the comments the examiner said.


any blanks you see are those words that i could make out because the ang moh's handwriting is very very veryy Cursive. and the audios isn't played by me. it's from the CD! (no piracy)

1st piece: Giga by John Loeillet (25/30) 20 is the passing grade

A good tempo and quite neat articulation and finger control. Although generally secure a lighter touch with a more subtle and _____ approach would enable you to engage and release more style and characterization. It was a little too intense really.


2nd piece: Traumerei by Schumann (27/30) 20 is the passing grade

Much beautiful and heartfelt playing here and you clearly empathized with the style. Small imprecision and blemishes only, but you successfully engaged the Dreamy atmosphere.


3rd piece: Jack-in-the-box by Bartok (28/30) 20 is the passing grade

A well paced and characterful presentation here. Small smudges only but generally crisp,precise and always colourful.

Scales and Arpeggios
16/21 (14 is the passing grade)
Known generally and mostly ready though not totally at ease in the coordination of the more demanding combinations and flunctuations(?) in tempo were needed to accommodate this.

Sight reading
14/21 (14 is the passing grade)
Some success with the note reading but you needed to drive yourself on more to sustain the rhythmic impulse and clarity.
-->anyway, the sight reading piece is in C major. Easy key but i just manage to pass.. :(

Aural tests(from grade 3 or grade 4, i NEVER pass this section ever again)
11/18 (12 is the passing grade)
A, B- Seriously challenged in both sections here.
C(i),(ii),(iii)- all correct *yanjing grinssss*
D(i)- incorrect in texture but correct in period and composer.
(ii)- Incorrect


Additional comments:
Commendable moments in this deserved overall merit - Well done!
Aural responses and sight reading remain areas for further development now in readiness for the greater challenges in grade 8.
